The limited edition “Artigiano” SeriesHand hammered Damascus steel and alligatorAs part of the AW 2012 Men's Collection we have created a limited edition "Artigiano" Series. 500 belts with a hand hammered brass and cut Damascus steel buckle being presented at TRANOI www.tranoi.com during the Paris Men's Fashion Week from January 22nd - January 24th. Buyers interested in ordering the "Artigiano" belt can contact us directly.The Artigiano belt is a homage to the ideal of the craftsman. "Every now and then I must remind myself" says Lorenzo Vaccari, TES founder and Production Director, "that the belt was an object of absolute use, to hold up the pants of a man who was hard at work." With this in mind Mr. Vaccari sourced raw Damascus steel tablets, that he then cut down to plates measuring 1 cm by 3 cm, each plate is then attached by hand with 4 screws to a forged solid brass base. The Limited Edition Artigiano Series juxtaposes a crude concept with a perfect execution and esteemed materials such as beeswax treated alligator lined in the finest malleable calf leather and rarely used Damascus steel. Only 500 buckles were created and no more will be produced. Each belt will come with a fire stamped imprint on the reverse side with the series number in this format 1/500 Serie Artigiano Edizione Limitata 2011. The series will be available for buyers and distributers at the TRANOI Fashion Fair, Parc Royal, 10 rue du Parc Royal, Paris 3. Each buyer will receive a certificate with each belt, guaranteeing its authenticity and series number.
